The village of Pont Saint Mamet is 5 minutes by car which has an excellent boulangerie/well stocked grocery store that is open every day. 

The town of Villamblard which is 6km away has many facilities including a restaurant, bars, grocery store, boulangerie, tennis courts to hire and has a weekly market and holds music festivals throughout the summer. You can also visit Villamblard's own castle.

The town of Vergt is 12km away and has a large supermarket, petrol station, many restaurants and bars, shops and a weekly market on a Friday and has various music acts/bands playing throughout the summer months.

 


 Bergerac is 20km away and has a fine historic centre with good shops, large supermarkets, restaurants and markets.   The Dordogne river runs through Bergerac and there are many boat trips available to choose from. 

 


 Perigueux is 25km away and has a lovely old pedestrianised centre with interesting shops and restaurants.  There are excellent regular markets twice a week throughout the year.  In the winter there is the marché au gras and truffle markets.

To the north, Limoges has many factory shops selling porcelain. The Dordogne region is renowned for its colourful markets and you can go to a different one each day of the week. There are many sporting activities available in the area including bike riding, walking, canoeing, kayaking, go-karting, boat trips etc. There are also wine tasting trips and many chateau to visit. Marqueyssac gardens
