About the house

The house is situated in 1 acre of secluded private gardens with mature trees, shrubs and flowers with a private pool and stunning views of open farmland in the small hamlet of Douville.  The private swimming pool is 8metres x 4metres and has roman steps leading into it and a good sized terrace surrounding it. The many trees in the garden provide shade if needed.  


 The large L-shaped lounge/dining room has comfortable seating area and also a large dining area for 6 people. Facilities include internet access, English t.v., bluetooth stereo, many books to read and games for adults and children.   There are also a further 3 sets of French doors onto the wraparound veranda with views of the garden, pool and open farmland.  

The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 of the bedrooms have French doors which lead onto a wraparound veranda overlooking part of the garden, pool and open farmland.There are 2 further bedrooms at the rear of the property overlooking views of the garden. (These 2 bedrooms can be made up as king size bed or 2 singles in each room depending on requirements).

All bath, hand and pool towels are provided, together with soap dispensers and hairdryer.


The facilities included in the kitchen/utility room are cooker with hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, dishwasher, washing machine, iron and ironing board and tea towels. Also provided will be some dish washer tablets, some toilet rolls, some tea bags, salt and pepper.    


 To the rear of the property there is entry to the house via the conservatory with seating area. The conservatory has views of the garden and leads into the kitchen.  

There is also an outside seating area comprising a bench table with retractable sun blind. There is a barbecue for your use and if you are feeling energetic there is table tennis.  For younger visitors there is a small sandpit and slide with toys.

The sky at night

If you enjoy stargazing, the night sky here is a marvel to behold as there is no light pollution. A lot of people say, astronomers & holiday makers alike "they have never seen a sky like it"
